Funding
The chorus accompanist is the only paid position. Other expenses include administrative costs, publicity, rehearsal space, concert venues and programs, music, and more. We enjoy sponsorship from the Berkeley Arts Council and have received two awards in their “Amplify the Arts” grant program. Additional financial support is obtained from community fundraising projects, private donations, concert ticket sales, and chorus dues. See “Make a Contribution” for tax deductible donations.
How to Help
There are many great ways you can support the Berkeley Community Chorus! For specific information on any of the following, check out the “Upcoming Events” section on the homepage.
- Attend a performance! The BCC exists to provide beautiful choral performances for the residents of Berkeley County and surrounding areas. We would love to have you come to a performance. Our holiday concert takes place on the second Saturday of December, and our spring concert takes place on the third Saturday in May.
- Come to a fundraiser. Throughout the year, the BCC has several fundraisers and fundraising opportunities. Please considering attending and contributing to any you can.
- Alert us to any potential business sponsorship opportunities. Do you know of (or do you own) a business that may be interested in sponsoring the BCC? Please let us know by sending an e-mail.
- Make a contribution. We welcome any monetary contribution you would like to make. We are now a 501(c)(3) organization and, therefore, your donation is tax-deductible. Currently, we can accept donations by check only at the following address: 247 Crushed Apple Drive, Martinsburg, WV 25403. Please make checks payable to Berkeley Community Chorus.
