First performed in 1990 at Carnegie Hall in New York City, this 40-minute work is a spectacular setting of the Song of Mary, mother of Jesus. The text is sung in Latin and English. In addition to the chorus, the piece features a soprano soloist.
One of England’s best known composers and conductors, John Rutter thrives and excels consistently in writing large and small works for choruses.
